My Life as International Conference Participant

Assalamualaykum, Blogger :)

Very long time not posting in my blog. Alhamdulillah..thanks to Allah, for this occation, I am still live, still in good health, and the most important thing, I am being as muslim, stay in hidayah and blessing of Allah Subhanahuwataalah.

Today, I am really feel greatfull because yesterday, Allah gave me time to joined International Conference at Jakarta. It was held at State Islamic University , Jakarta or in Bahasa you may say Universitas Islam Negeri Syarif Hidayatullah. I am really glad and wanna say thanks to Allah cause I have time to joined the international conference.

The International Conference entitle "Beyond Co-Existence in Plural Societies". It was held in Jakarta, July 10, 2017. The conference organized by  State Islamic University and Notre Dame University. I got information about the conference from my whatsapp grup "English Qur'an" and before Ramadhan ends, I was registered by google form. Actually, I am not so excited when I was registired cause I cunfused I could joined the conference or not. But..because the conference is free..so, I decided to join and registrating. My aplication as participant was recived and I got replaying email to confirm my present. Yeah..I just confirm yess eventhought I still doubt about the schedule.

It just the story about my last reason. Yesterday, the conference was opened. I take my duty to go to seminar. I was interesting because it will taking about Islam in plural society and other reason why I have to come because the speaker is so cool! Yeah..at the same time, you will meet many professor from presticius university, such as Notre Dame University, Buston University, Wake Forest University, Oxford university, and many other professor who pasticipated in panel section. 

Today, I am really excited if there is seminar or conference which is talking about Islam. Why? Because, I promise to my self that I have to take pasticipant as muslim young generation in order to I can be part of International Conference especially about Islam from other perspective. Why? Because I really want to know what international people think about Islam. I wanna hear directly, not only form Yourtube and other social media. 

Since I saw Dr. Zakir Naik Speech when He visited Indonesia several mouths ago, I promised to my self that I have to be pasrt of international thinking in conference, eventhouth maybe just take little bit part of those as participant, no worry about it. So, that's why, I love read many article about muslim in other language, like english. I saw the video from other coutry, and I am so interesting about disscussion about Islam from other Professor in anyother country because I want to know the new issue about Islam nowdays.

And...yesterday, one of my dream comes true. I just joined the international conference with FREE. And Alhamdulillah, from the conference, I can meet great people like Professor Azra, Mr. HEfner, and with pleasure, I can meet Professor Ebrahim Moosa from Islamic Studies Notre Dame University. Alhamdulillah, He is very kind people and low profile. He is the Keynote Speaker in the conference and I really like his speech. At those time, I said, "Prof, may I take picture", and He said.."Yess..wanna selfie? "He said. I took selfie but when there are other participant who can help me take pic with him, I got nice picture. 

In his speech, Professor Ebrahim Moosa taking about Pramoedya Ananta Toer master piece, Bumi Manusia. He told about Minke. When conference break, I have time to speak with  him and I said, I like Bumi Manusia too and we told about Minke. Really Happy.

After the break, the conference continue by panel section. It really nice because I can see many speech from other professor. Great!

Ready to next section

Maybe..I dont have much words to say how happy I am when i can be part of the conference. Many knowledge and perspective about Islam that I can gotta from the event. 

Once, I found good activity to be part of international society, one of them and open my mind is joining the international conference, especially about Islam in global view.

Once, Alhamdulillah...and see you at International Conference...I hope, for next conference, I can be speaker/presenter..not only as participant. But...I have to learn..learn ..and learn in other to I can be good speaker/presenter. Thanks Allah,,,because Allah, I can join the conference. Let me say, It is beautiful destiny :).
